LubeCAT Oil Type Availability
Are LubeCAT Oil Types Not Available or Missing
When searching for oil types in the LubeCAT system, you may notice that some options appear to be missing from your local inventory. For example, if your vehicle requires 0w30 or 5w30 full synthetic oil, but only 0w30 is visible in the system, you might suspect that there is an error in the product listing.
How the System Works
The LubeCAT system is designed to show only the manufacturer-recommended oil types that are currently available in your local inventory. This approach ensures that you see the most relevant options for your specific vehicle based on what is in stock nearby.
Understanding Recommendations
If a vehicle requires multiple oil types, such as both 0w30 and 5w30, the system will display all suitable options as long as they are available in stock. If a recommended oil type is not in inventory, it will not appear in your search results.
Obtaining Unavailable Oil Types
Should a required oil type not be in stock locally, you can still obtain it by purchasing as an Outside Parts Lube (OPL) from a vendor. The absence of a product in the system does not mean the recommendation is incorrect; it simply reflects current inventory status.
